高校卒業後、独学で絵を描き始める。
村上隆主催のGEISAIに参加し、数々の賞を受賞。
2020年のコロナ禍以降、動物や花をモチーフにした作品を発表し始める。

王建揚 CY WANG
Born in Taipei, now base in Hong Kong＆Taipei, artist CY shows his art talent at very young age. From photography to installation and painting, each domain reveals his fascinating imagination and unique aesthetics.
As “MANGA” generation, his wide-ranging work always embodies an intersection of pop culture, history, and fine art; reveals the relationship between the new generation, the Internet, video games, and social media; explores the cultural and social perspective of the young generation. CY first came to light through Takashi Murakami GEISAI Taiwan in 2009, in which he was recognized with the Seiichi Kamei Personal Award, and then was awarded with golden price in subsequent GEISAI Taiwan 2010.
His art is influenced by his childhood memories including cartoons, video games, TV shows etc. In the past few years, in his paintings, the skill is absolutely impressive, the combination of diverse characters is certainly outstanding. For a long time, the inspiration has always came from his life, imagination, and things that are important to him.
During the pandemic, his daughter was born. Family time with two children emerges a new series “Rainbow”, features two main characters as Haha and Hoho, they are originally from a Rainbow planet, finally land on earth, start to explore, to grow, to love and to share. CY starts a new storyline with these lovely cute “aliens”. As an old saying goes, the eyes are the windows of the soul, through this “rainbow eyes”, connecting hope and future, the deepness part reminds us the star sky, leading to the vast amazing cosmos.
This series brings a powerful visual impact to the audience. Vivid colorful rainbow shows bright energy which cheer people up, the scenario ambience are wonderfully simple but joyful, linking to people’s contemporary life, to their childhood and memories. Audience can always find familiar sensation yet a fresh inspiration. This new series has been collected world-widely.
BIO
Born in Taipei, now base in Hong Kong, artist CY has a BFA from National Taiwan Art University. He shows his art talent at very young age. From photography to installation and painting, each domain reveals his fascinating imagination and unique aesthetics.
CY first came to light through Takashi Murakami GEISAI Taiwan in 2009, in which he was recognized with the Seiichi Kamei Personal Award, and then was awarded with golden price in subsequent GEISAI Taiwan 2010. In 2011, he was invited by Ashin, the famous vocalist of the Taiwanese band Mayday, to join the group show “Stay Real Dreams”.
CY’s artworks have been invited for important art exhibitions in museums in Taiwan, Russia, China. Meanwhile he also held solo and joint exhibitions in New York, Paris, Los Angelos, London, Madrid, Tokyo, Melbourne, Beijing, Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korean and Singapore.

CC是一位自学成才的艺术家。凭借着设计学习的经验，通过三个可愛的卡通形象和家具，探讨设计和艺术共同的“美”。Ku和Mu的原型是熊，Ra是海獭。
独学で制作を開始。デザインを学ぶ経験を生かし、Ku,Mu,Ra,三つのキャラクターを通して、アートとデザインが共通している"美"をテーマで制作されている。KuとMuの原型はクマ、Raはラッコです。

2015年より「FRIENDS IN PARADISE」シリーズを制作しています。
作品を通して、⾃由、平和、優しさなどのメッセージを伝えています。
近年は海の⼒強さや透明感を表現したいと思い、波の作品も⼿掛けています。
「油絵」と聞くと、重たいイメージを持たれる⽅も多いかと思いますが、より⾝近に感じていただければと思います。
